Title: Employee survey for measuring organization support & work life balance in a COVID remote work environment.
Background: A large multinational IT company engaged GrowthLyne to conduct an employee survey.
Design of 25 minute online questionnaire with around 30 questions. The survey questions focused on various aspects of organization engagement with its employees.
Health and Well Being: Questions seeking employee feedback on COVID -19 communications by senior management, employee health insurance policy, precautionary measures, counseling benefits for employees and availability of medical experts panel.
Employee Productivity and Work-Life Balance: Questions on infrastructure challenges, IT support, access to training materials and other internal portals. Additional questions for challenges in managing family with work from home, flexible timings in job roles.
Survey Programming, UAT Testing and Launching the survey to around 2000 employees of the company.
Survey Programing: Survey Programming was done over a prominent Survey software. Survey incorporated design features like Skip Logics, branching, matrix based questions, randomization of questions etc. Employee authentication on the Survey was based on Single sign (SSO) feature.
UAT Testing and Launching of Survey: Both automated UAT testing and Manual testing of Survey was conducted to ensure a smooth user interaction and capturing user data with correct values and format. Data was downloadable in SPSS and CSV files.
Survey data analysis to provide actionable insights.
Data Cleaning: Survey Data was cleaned for any missing values, single liners, rating inconsistencies and outliers. In addition descriptive analytics was performed pre and post data treatment. Growthlyne actively engaged clients for all the proposed cleaning steps.
Descriptive Analytics and Statistical Testing: This involved generation of banner tables with frequencies , proportions and other descriptive statistics across various business units, gender and employee bands etc. Results for of each of these groups was statistically tested against each other in order to identify statistically robust conclusions.
Comparative Analysis with Previous Employee Surveys:The results of the survey were compared to previous years surveys. Employer could clearly identify the metrics where the themes where the organization has improved. Areas of weakness were also identified for further actions by management.
Advanced Survey Analytics: Growthlyne grouped the various questions using factor analysis into three Key themes(factors), which drive the employee job satisfaction in COVID period. Key factors identified were Leave policy, Flexible timings, Insurance Policy, Immediate Manager support.
Reporting: GrowthLyne delivered an Insight Report into the company’s policies favourable for Women Employees highlighting factors leading association of potential Women Employees.
